We’ll be kicking off our League year hearing all about the 2026-2027 plans and projects from our Committee Directors! Then we’ll hear from our exciting guest speaker, Leah Pezzetti from the Junior League of Seattle.

LEAH PEZZETTI

Leah Pezzetti is an Emmy Award-winning meteorologist, environmental storyteller, and author who brings passion, energy, and inspiration to everything she does. Since joining KING 5 in Seattle in 2022, she has helped launch the regional Environment Northwest franchise and created the monthly astronomy show The Sky Above, combining her love of science and storytelling. Leah is also a published author of the She Dreamed, So She Did children’s book series, which highlights real women succeeding in male-dominated industries, including Emily the Meteorologist and Brenna the Firefighter.  A proud Junior League member and current Community Impact Director for the Junior League of Seattle, Leah was also nominated for the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) 40 Under 40 award. Junior League Lower Columbia is thrilled to welcome Leah as the featured speaker for its September 8, 2026 event.
